I arrived at Vitale's Delicatessen on a Tuesday around 6:29 PM. When I walked in, the restaurant was completely empty, and there was only one person behind the counter who was already putting away equipment and food. He told me they were closing in ten minutes. However, their website and storefront indicate they stay open until 7 PM. It’s frustrating that they close early on a regular day, wasting customers' time.
For this area probably the best Italian food/sandwiches you can get. Bread is fresh, sandwiches are packed and taste great, big salads. It seems every time I go there is only one person to take the orders and make the food, so can be a bit of a wait ifthere's a few people in there.
I had the chicken française, which was absolutely delicious, served with pasta and salad. The portions were generous and very satisfying. My friends ordered sandwiches from the deli, and they were tasty and hearty too. I will definitely be returning!
