We've been doing take out from Vivoli for a few years--and it was always fabulous. We had never dined in the restaurant until we had guests from Germany who we took there. The four of us loved every course: pizza, carpaccio, eggplant parm, knudi and more. It's one of the best little Italian joints in LA. The outdoor dining, however, is on a parking lot and not exactly scenic. But comfy. I'd rather order food to go but it does get a nice local clientele.
During our most recent visit to Vivoli, we encountered a slight hiccup with some missing staff. However, our server, David, and the sous chef stepped up and ensured that we had a satisfying lunch experience. Despite the minor setback, we still consider Vivoli to be one of our favorite dining spots. When the chef is present, the food always impresses us. We will definitely be returning in the future.
The service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes for our dinner salads and we had to ask what was going on. They brought us our salads and apologized saying they “forgot” about us! We were surprised as we have been here many times and we’re never treated like that. Being that we were seated in the room on the left far from the kitchen and staff made us feel not appreciated,etc…
We are CRAZYYYY for Vivoli's!!!! They make the BEST marinara sauce EVER. And we mean EVER!!!!! Tangy, delicious....and their noodles always cooked PERFECTLY too. And their homemade yummy bread and olive tapenade....soooo AWESOME!!! BEST CESEAR SALAD as well!!! Just crunchy cold and sharp shredded cheese on top... PERFECTION! Lobster ravioli TDF!!! While the menu may not be innovative, this restaurant offers a wide variety of classic northern Italian dishes that are expertly prepared. The option to order half-sized portions for most entrees allows diners to try more dishes without feeling too full, which is perfect considering the many tempting options available.
Great neighborhood place. Do a lot of takeout but eating in the restaurant is always a nice experience. Good friendly wait staff. Their pizza is delicious with a thin crust.
If you pay by credit card and they make an error you're outta luck. They need to upgrade their payment equipment. Otherwise food was excellent
It's dependable and serves excellent Italian food. The staff is always polite and efficient. I feel very comfortable here. Réservez une table maintenant
My second time at this location. I brought a friend because I wanted them to try. Food was as amazing as the first time!
