Very disappointed that the family take out prices increased drastically! The whole point for the family take out package was to still make it affordable for families to still have restaurant food at home. The original owner Denise was so fair with her prices. I was going to order my favorite family take out today, clicked on the menu and was shocked at the price! I 'll have to find another place. It 's an excuse justifying price increase because you make everything from scratch and not from a can prove it. I 'm not stupid I know greed when I see it. Good and mostly authentic southern Italian restaurant.Andy the most professional guy I have ever met in the restaurant his service was really good .he went above my expedition, Very kind and Nice guy , vado manu with unusual in the US. Many fish and meat options. Overall a very good experience for someone foodie like me lol. Plenty of appetizers (good food and dessert) man you got come and try. It’s the first time for me and definitely is not gonna be the last. I will come again and bring all my friend. Thank you so much Andy again and appreciate you and the chief in the kitchen .
I have going for years to Volares. Recently they had new ownership. This is 3rd time going to the restaurant since the change of ownership. The staff is friendly and service is good. The food has not been as good as before but this time the sauce had very large chucks of tomato and lot of tomato skins which wasn’t enjoyable. Portions are much smaller since the change and pricing seems a little higher. The home made deserts, I didn’t care for the cheese cake and at $12 for a desert seems very pricey. Might have to look for another place.
I am a food snob. I eat at excellent restaurants all over the world for business and sometimes pleasure. The seafood and pasta were so perfectly done that I was surprised that a small business could do it so well. And I challenge anyone to have a smoother and creamier homemade cheesecake than this place. Very well done Andy. I will be back again and again.

I don’t write reviews but I had to take the time and write how amazing Volares restaurant is! love this place so much. Every food item I have tried has exceeded my expectations greatly. The food is amazing, and even the place itself. It’s very clean, it’s super authentic and very pleasant staff. I will be returning for sure!
I wrote a review yesterday which I want to correct. Our food came out late because of Mother’s Day. The food was very good. But more importantly the owner came to our table, apologized and reduced our bill plus free desert. This showed me he cared about us . I will be back. Matt Connolly
The service was start from a simple reservation phone call. Continue at the entrance door, excellent food knowledge. I was feeling LITTLE ITALY,in Rutherford I'm born and rise in South Italy,and we know how food should look and taste like Music was not too aloud. Dessert are outstanding
This charming little restaurant offers exceptional food and outstanding service. It's a must-visit if you're in the area, and you absolutely have to try the cheesecake—it was truly unbelievable!
