Two Visit here within the last two months both for parties one my uncle and one my wife. First visit food very nice, service very good and we all was well fed and very happy. Went made this even better paid our bill and left 10 mins later I get a call saying come back please you have overpaid us. We forgot the deposit we had given, the honesty we found amazing. Second visit only yesterday, again 20 people, set the table and banner up before we got there ourself to do it, we asked for the table to be moved they done it, we asked to pre order our starters a bit different from the menu they accomdated, they never make you order too much they tell you excatly what will be enough and it always is...
Visited this restaurant on Saturday evening, there were only a couple of people in at the time but did get busier later. We ordered 2 poppadoms and the sauces and 2 pints of coke. The yoghurt sauce was just that, yoghurt, no taste at all. The red sauce was very spicy. Onions were ok though. Then the starters arrived. The chicken shashlik was ok, if a little bland. As for the samosa medley, all 3 samosas were frozen in the middle, so much for fresh food. Admittedly the waiter was very apologetic and returned a few minutes later with 3 very hot samosas. I visited this restaurant with a party of two and was quickly approached by the owner to inquire about ordering poppadoms. He answered his own question by stating we would each have two, which I found slightly rude and off-putting. As a result, I chose not to order any. The shami kebab starter I ordered was disappointingly small, smaller than a Rice Krispies cereal. The main courses were also lacking in portion size, with the curry bowl being only half full and the tawa dish being significantly smaller than expected. The additional curry I ordered was tasteless. Overall, I would rate the food a 5/10 and found the value for money to be poor. At £25 per person, I felt I could have eaten better...
I came here with my family last month. It was highly recommended by a friend but unfortunately I was left feeling very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best, my local takeout is not only cheaper but delivers the same standard of food. I expected a lot more given the price. The restaurant itself was awfully quiet, not that silence is an issue but as far as I'm aware, my family were the only customers here, I felt slightly awkward having the staff watch over us. Place was highly recommended by my neighbour and it lived up to the expectations that was built up. Best jalfrazi I’ve had in a long time and the rest of family loved their dishes. Lamb chops starters was tasty too. Location is perfect too as its on the High Street and you have Astle and Tesco car park behind the restaurant. I will be heading back soon :
This restaurant was not good at all. We had a reservation for 9pm and were seated immediately. However, we had to wait over an hour for our starters and main dish to come out, even though we placed our order within 10 minutes of being seated. The food was bland and tasteless. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place.
