Food was as expected; cheap and cheerful, but experienced shocking language from next table where two couples were about to eat and there was very loud swearing from one of the men. There was a family with a small child on next table so we politely asked the guy to curb the number of ‘F’ words. He took great offence at this and as we left he followed us as we walked past the bar and shouted that it is a pub and he can swear if he likes and that we were incredibly rude to ask him not to swear out loud in front of other children. Staff did absolutely nothing and I had the feeling that the other people queuing up at the bar agreed with him by their looks at us, which shocked me somewhat. I will...

Didn’t want to give any stars but had to give 1 to write a review, was in there today with my husband we ordered big breakfast each and all was good until our food arrived, the butter was actually frozen solid and the toast didn’t look like it had seen a grill it was like white crispy bread, I mentioned it to the waitress who said the butter is kept in a freezer as it goes soft in kitchen she took the butter back to softened it in microwave and said she would get us some browned toast, we waited almost 15 minutes before she came back with melted butter and more toast which was browned but very dry and crispy, she said they have no toaster and cook the toast in the oven, this is not toast it...

We come here to eat semi regularly (maybe every 2 3months. The food is always good, tasty and of consistent quality. I always enjoy the carvery but plenty of choice on both the kids and adults menus. The vast majority of staff are great. Our most recent visit was ruined by other customers. It was 5pm on a Saturday evening but incredibly noisy, very large groups spread across lots of tables and kids running round barefoot shouting around all the other tables not fun. Please consider banning vaping in the restaurant area at least I know it’s not illegal but really unpleasant for a non smoking family while trying to enjoy a meal and, as a really family friendly pub, I don’t really want my child...

This is the second time we have used this pub as we had stayed at the hotel just up the road . Both Sunday lunch carvery's. The food was fresh and well presented and tasty so no complaints from us. We were met and greeted by a lady called Natasha and was happy to answer any questions we had and when she knew we were ready to eat, she went and let the Chef aware of our presence . As we were eating another member of staff checked that everything was ok with our meal ,which we thought was nice . One thing is certain , on our next stay at our airport hotel (Pinewood) the Waggon and Horses will be on our list for our lunch . Réservez une table maintenant

Called in for a cavery after a long day travelling the pub is very dirty the staff all looked scruffy and the food was awful I asked for some skin off the turkey and was told we do not recommend you eat that ??? The veg was cold and not cooked very thin slices of meat with a soggy cold Yorkshire pud . We couldn’t eat the meal and left the pub we will not return the place needs closing

Local pub so we thought we would walk here to have some early evening food. On arrival the tables in the restaurant hadn’t been cleared or were filthy and needed cleaning. When we asked for the menu we were told that only the carvery was available, no children’s menu at all. This message was delivered as if we could take it or leave it we won’t be returning

Ate around 1.30pm. All food was dry overcooked especially the beef and Yorkshire puds and some help yourself dishes were empty from the carvery section. Really disappointed.
