I would like to start this review by saying every person on-staff during my visit was awesome. Service was great.But, the food here…man. Just unfortunate. Burger was somehow bland despite being juicy. Chicken sandwich tasted like high school cafeteria chicken. Tots flight was pretty good which helped save the meal a bit.But the Mac Cheese tasted like noodles milk. The milk sauce (there couldn’t have been cheese in it) overpowered even the bacon. It was watery and just not acceptable for a restaurant with these price points.If the food was good, I would have been returning. But the ingredients need some help here.
My boyfriend and I went to Wahlburgers yesterday around 2:30 maybe, there was a few people in there. It was quiet and clean. We were greeting as soon as we walked in and was seated. Our waiter was nice but didn't really check up on us a lot only for refills and to order. We both got burgers, we both enjoyed them. I got the o.f.d. burger and he got the chorizo one. I would get it again but it's not the type of restaurant you would just go to, it seems like a one time type of thing. The bacon mac was okay. I would recommend if you like bland things but it wasn't for me.

The waitress was friendly, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I do wish the food had a bit more flavor, though. The Impossible Burger (not pictured) and the fish sandwich were our top picks. I've heard that many others also love the Impossible Burger. Additionally, the garlic sauce pairs nicely with the sweet potato tater tots. All the waitresses were pleasant and provided excellent service. As for vegetarian options, the Impossible Burger was a great choice.
We were impressed by the fast and friendly service. The Paloma cocktail was very strong and tasty, as was the Hit the Wahl IPA! We also tried the flight of tater tots, which were crispy and delicious. The salmon salad was decent, but we really appreciated that the salmon was cooked perfectly. The patty melt was fine, but it would have been better on rye bread. Overall, we would definitely return, especially for the tots and beer!
While in Grand Rapids, my wife looked up the choices for places to eat near the Gerald R. Ford library. When she mentioned Wahlburgers, I was initially hesitant due to perceived higher prices. However, they are reasonably priced compared to several of the chains near us in the DFW area. Overall, the food was good. I'd suggest just a little more seasoning, but other than that, was satisfied.
I had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The quality of the burger really impressed me. The service was quite friendly, too. While the atmosphere was decent, it didn't stand out. If you don't mind spending about 50% more than you would at a fast food restaurant, you'll be rewarded with delicious food and great service.

The burgers were delicious! And the tator tots were tasty. Service was pretty slow, it was also pretty busy. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a big deal. Totally check it out!
Our first time sitting in last month while on vacation. The place is great and it was quiet during lunch time. Food was awesome as well. We will definitely be back soon!!
