Standing in the queue, holding shopping in my arms, waiting for the belt to move…. But the belt doesn’t move because the checkout operator and customer can’t swipe the purchases and chat at the same time. Eventually, the purchases have been totalled-up, so they spend AGES messing about with a mobile phone, with no regard to the customers who are waiting. In the meantime, other customers have been through other checkouts and are now in the car-park. They were probably too engrossed in chatting to notice that I left around £90 worth of shopping on the conveyor belt and left the shop. Commercial Failure: Run a store, pay for advertising, customers select purchases but are unable to pay for them...
