We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was overcooked and dry and the pulled pork was also dry and tasted sour. The fries were OK but that's no feat. The food was generally too expensive, especially for the quality. The service was poor. The waitress took our drink order but later snatched the menus from the table without taking our food order. We had to actually remind her that we had indeed not ordered our food yet. Cleanliness and Corona measures were also not taken seriously. Kultkneipe in Überlingen im positiven Sinne, direkt an der Promenade mit uneingeschränkten Blick auf den See. Freundliche schnelle Bedienungen. Modernes Ambiente, einzigartige Lage, wie bereits erwähnt, liegt ein Eingang direkt an der Promenade, der andere Eingang führt direkt ins Herzen der Stadt, zur Hofstatt. Guter Mittagstisch, gute allgemeine Karte, alle Arten von Cocktails und sonstigen Spirituosen. Im Außenbereich liegen Decken für die Gäste bereit, falls es einem Gast noch zu frisch sein sollte und dieser trotzdem die Sonne genießen möchte. Hier trifft sich Jung und Alt. Stopped in for a quick lunch on a weekday. Sat inside because there weren't any open tables outside and to get away from the smokers. I usually try to have fun with our wait person, and I tried mightily with our waiter here. But he would have none of it, and every attempt to engage him was met with a grunt or a one word response. Now that has no bearing on the quality of the good food being offered, but good conversation is an important part of the restaurant experience, and it was lacking here.
Von einer Wanderung (mit Rucksack) zurückgekommen wollten wir drinnen Kaffee trinken. Bekamen auch bald die Karte und dann tat sich nichts mehr. Offensichtlich wollte man keine Bestellung aufnehmen, denn das anwesende Personal stand nur gelangweilt herum oder unterhielt sich gegenseitig. Nach 15 Minuten Warten, haben wir aufgegeben und sind gegangen. Eindeutiger kann man nicht ausdrücken, dass man unerwünscht ist, muß wohl an der Wanderkleidung gelegen haben.

The food is generally quite nice. It is however overpriced. That is by far not the major concern however. Their service is just awful apart from one waitress. They are extremely rude and demand a tip. Keep in mind that they demanded while I was paying. I was planning on giving a tip! This was not one bad experience. It happened at least 3 or 4 times. The atmosphere is what brought me back but if they dont change their attitude, I won't be going there again.
The position and ambiance was magnificent overlooking the lake. Service was multi lingual and the waiter that helped us was absolutely top notch. I enjoyed the more traditional homemade German food that we had for lunch and we will be returning for dinner very soon. A great experience especially after a significant renovation approximately 2 years ago.
Zuletzt waren wir vor 8 Jahren dort. Voller Vorfreude sind zielgerichtet nun endlich wieder hin gegangen. Das Essen war unterirdisch, ob Nuggets, Spätzle, Fischknusperle oder Chickenwings, es ist ein äußerst minderwertiges Essen wenn man das überhaupt so nennen kann. Somit absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Schade.
Super leckeres Essen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, viele Sitzplätze sowohl außen, als auch innen. Toller Blick auf den See. Wir hatten Käsespätzle. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und preislich top. Rundum zufrieden!

Great setting on the lake. Food was good, especially the Kaiserschmarrn, which was only 8.90 Euros. The Zanderfilet was also good. Would definitely come back.
