This is the second time I have visited the cafe in a few weeks. Being a local we are fortunate to be able to visit the plethora of choice of seaside cafes in the Cronulla area, however this one fails to please! First time I visited a few weeks ago, I ordered a coffee which took over fifteen minutes to make! It was also average and made too hot to drink. No smile from the staff upon payment and it was only 10 in the morning. How ridiculous!The visit just past was awful also. The place was dirty, such a shame as it's such a new building it shouldn't look like this! The kitchen closed right on 2pm. I arrived at 205pm and was told to head to the cafe up the road! The manager/owner is extremely rude and arrogant as well as nasty to his staff, the customer service was shocking and the staff seemed miserable and disinterested (I don't blame them with a boss like that), we weren't even greeted when we came to order. We ordered a chicken and avo open sandwich, the waitress brought our meals to us without avocado and walked away without saying anything. Apparently they were out of avocado but no one informed us when we ordered, or afterwards or even when we got our meal we had to chase it up ourselves, we weren't offered something else instead, we had to ask - the staff told us they charged us less but when we worked it out we were still charged the full a...
I came down with my wife and two dogs to see what the Wanderers Cafe experience was like and I wasn't disappointed.. Firstly I was abit worried about bringing the dogs down but they were welcomed just like we were straight away. The staff was quick and efficient and had great customer service. Our food and coffee came out the same time as we requested and all was delicious I had the poached eggs which were cooked perfect and nice and runny and my wife had pancakes which were nice and fluffy and delicious to eat. The location is unreal has a great view of the beach and such a wide space to relax and enjoy a nice meal.. I will definitely be coming back to this wonderful Cafe.
Been here before and the wait was over an hour. Came again begrudgingly with some friends for breakfast. Waited again over an hour for food. One friend ordered muesli and it still took that long! My poached eggs were overcooked. Would have sent them back but I had somewhere to be for dinner. Staff were friendly enough but for the life of me I can't figure out why their service is so slow when they have so many people working there!

After being a regular for a few years and previously giving this cafe a good/average review, we will never go there again. We received absolutely rude service from the owner/manager, who looks like he doesn't want to be there. Such a shame with its iconic location. Very slow, arrogant and rude service spoils the nice location and OK food. Go somewhere else, if you possibly can.
Had breakfast here after a run over the Sandhills just near by. They don't have heaps of options on the menu, but what they do, they do very well and bring it out to your table very fast. Was with a group of 6 friends and everyone was impressed by the quality of the food and the coffee. The milkshakes were very good too.
Sappho is great on every single level.
As a bookstore, the price on the books is absolutely rightThey also have a very, very deep selection.
The Seattleite me was feeling right at home here, getting cozy with books and coffee on their hip, urban, covered patio.

Ahh, another one of those bookshop cafes that I so wish Melbourne hadWell, maybe it does, but I couldn't find one.
It's a beach side kiosk. Hurry up. It's hot out here and the surf is calling. Needs some polish on the people
