I absolutely love everything about this place. The environment, the food and also the employees. Used to be a regular before the pandemic. They were closed for a while and I ended up moving to another side of town. Over 2 years later I came back and they remembered me just by my takeout order. How awesome. I've never had an incorrect order or been greeted by anything less than a smile. One of my favorite local spots.

We stopped in on our way from Oklahoma to Wisconsin. So happy we found this gem! We had oysters on the half shell as an app and they were very large and so fresh. Pan fried orange roughy and wall eye. Terrific flavor, wonderful crunchy edges. Ray was our server and was very attentive and efficient. Quaint atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic experience.

I hadn't eaten at Waterfront Sushi in 10 years, so I decided to order some takeout to see if it still tasted as good as I remembered. We tried the volcano, Kraken, Godzilla, Ankeny, and Philadelphia rolls, and they were all amazing. I'm pleased to see that the quality hasn't diminished over the years. This place is definitely my go-to sushi spot!

I was initially doubtful about finding quality seafood in Des Moines, Iowa, being from the South. However, this restaurant has completely changed my perspective. They offer fresh seafood, strong drinks, and a friendly atmosphere, along with attentive bar staff. I can't wait to return!

Now about the service: our server, Matt, was outstanding. His attentiveness was impressive, and he provided excellent recommendations. We will definitely be happy to see him again. Thank you, Waterfront, for such a wonderful experience—we look forward to returning soon!

Catfish POBOY was amazing!!! Sweet potato fries with cinnamon sauce? Wonderful! And to wrap up a perfect chocolate cake. Their desserts come from a special place in Chicago and now I know why it’s special. Great place.

I visited this place weekly because her sushi tastes like when I lived in Japan. The will will be the top for you if you don't go crazy about raw fish. The staff is super nice and the price is fair.

Hands down best place ever! Our server, Ray, provided the BEST service I've had in my life, and our food was AMAZING!!! If you've never been here, you don't know what you're missing!

So delicious!! Everything I've tasted here is always good and extremely fresh. If you love sushi, try the poke bowls. The flavor is outstanding. Im craving one right now.

We had some sushi and it was great! Excellent presentation too. I'm not a huge seafood eater but the selection looked good.
