It's a common occurrence at many restaurants. You sit down at your local diner and see a group of 10 kids come in, order only 2 orders of fries to share, and then leave without leaving a tip for the server. Parents should do a better job teaching their children about the importance of tipping and treating others with respect. It's not right to treat servers like they don't matter. Remember the saying, "don't poo where you eat" - be kind and show respect to everyone, including your server.
I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. I had a bad experience months ago and foolishly decided to give it another try. I ordered the hot brisket sandwich, but once again I received a hot open turkey sandwich instead. This time, it was far from hot—more like cold, with gravy that resembled frozen pudding. The soup was inedible, and to top it off, the bill was $60. I won’t be returning.

Definitely the Diner can do whatever they want to do. It is their business not yours. Kids do not tip because their PARENTS don’t teach them. They also will run out on the bill, leaving the waitress to eat the bill. If you don’t like their policy, there are only 1000 more diners to go to in NJ. Réservez une table maintenant
This place had very fast service and friendly wait staff. The facility was very clean and the food was excellent. Plenty of parking spaces and bright and cheerful atmosphere.
As a former bartender and server, I absolutely applaud you for doing right by your staff. There should be more owners who stand up and do the same thing.
