We were just bimbling around the old town visiting various pub's,bar's ,restaurant's and taking in the site's when we came across this interesting looking bar. Walking in we were warmly greeted by a very pleasant member of staff . As we had already had a...good few beer's and we had a long day/night ahead of us we decided to have a coffee and after a short wait our coffee's arrived steaming hot and we just chilled out ,kicked back and relaxed in this very pleasant bar/ restaurant. If you want local atmosphere and place to feel welcome, Weinloch is the place. But don't go there for the wine (if you're a wine nerd). They serve wine from a very limited wine list, but nothing fancy. Not at all!! Same goes for the...food it's ok, but a bistro at most... I was very disappointed at first, but the place grows on you and I liked it very much when I left...but it's the atmosphere

We hadn't even managed to get seated and our server was at the table asking us if we already had a beer in mind, or whether or not we needed a couple minutes to review the menu. If you want to experience an evening in which you want a real vintage feeling, you have to go to the weehole. there is much and cheap wine, beer and nikotin and the unprecedented atmosphere of the 1960 and 1970, where railway enthusiasts discussed with revolutionary. an experience for yourself.

Proper old fashioned bar,not a real tourist place despite thousands passing here daily.Great place to sit and relax.Good barman behind the counter.Nice cold Heidelberger vom fass for miss it if you're in Heidelberg. Réservez une table maintenant

interesting place, unlike most in the old town. interesting guests and facilities. we felt like in warschaus praga :) we recommend it if someone is looking for an original place :)

the weinloch is a real institution in the old thsdt and somehow cult. cheese bread, eibrot, rieslingschorle and nice leut.
