I don't understand how this restaraunt gets the reviews it does. This was my second attempt and the most recent meal somehow beat out my last attempt which was the worst chinese food I've ever had. They have a great website but nothing you order is going to resemble the pictures. Ginger beef was not identifiable as such and was so sweet it was gross. Sweet and sour chicken had no moisture to it like the chicken had been roasted till it was dried out completely then battered . The beef and broccoli was passable at a food court level. Ordered takeout on Monday. Only waited about 10 minutes. The house special fried rice was nice, with peas, prawns and bits of barbequed pork. The special chow mein used the thin noodles, with chicken and prawns. I would have liked some veggies in it, but apparently some do not! The deep fried prawns were crispy, the almond chicken gai ding was great and the sweet and sour sauce was pineapple free (yay) and not toothach-ingly sweet. All in all a satisfying Chinese meal
I ordered food from this restaurant. The food was HORRIBLE. The previous owners of this restaurant were wonderful and the food was great. But since these new owners took over, the quality of the food has declined and is very inconsistent. The pork in the wonton tasted off and had hard chunks of fat in it. The chowmein was slimy and so salty and the chicken tasted like it was old and reheated. All of this for $62.00. Please don 't waste your money ordering from here!
we were stranded on a tourbus and 40 of us went to this restaurant. the employees were very courteous and fast made us simple dishes of bbq roasted rice, chow my and also sorted vegetables. the prices were affordable and the service was efficient. I give them 4 stars due to the lack of ac, relatiw high quantities of msg and only with a washroom. a simple westernized Chinese food in comox. Réservez une table maintenant
We ordered the dinner for 6, and it was definitely enough food. Some of the deep fried items (spring rolls, almond chicken, and prawns were a little heavy (in terms of batter and oil compared to other Chinese restaurants, but overall, the food was great! The flavors (the ginger beef! were delicious. Note: they would only accept cash/debit.
We are mostly satisfied, but tonight was so awful that we will never go back!!!!. We ordered our usual. house chow mein, almond chicken, and ginger beef. The chow mein did not have any veg, the almond chicken was greasy and gravy was watery, and the ginger beef seemed all batter and honey; hard and where was the beef!?!?!
I ordered a meal last night just for myself, and paid just over $17. Within an hour of eating my meal I ended up horribly ill. I spent the whole night up sick and throwing up. I wondered if it was properly cooked or not. Either way I will never order food from there ever again, and I do not recommend it for others.
Taste of food was decent and I appreciated that they don?t use MSG in the cooking. The beef chop suey had very little beef like only 3-4 pieces which was disappointing. The website also says they do delivery but when we called, they said they don?t do it(not sure if it was only for the day) Réservez une table maintenant
