This restaurant used to offer excellent service, but sadly, it has declined significantly. I observed several employees standing around without taking any action, and there was a lack of guidance from anyone in charge. The manager was absent throughout our visit. We waited 30 minutes for our food, only to find that my order had been mistakenly given to someone else. That person returned my meal, but it was cold, and then I had to wait another 10 minutes to finally get my food. The only employee who appeared to care was the Spanish lady working at the window; I wish I had caught her name because she was the only one making an effort. I would recommend avoiding this location and heading to Buc...
The service was quite slow. There was only one other family of three ahead of us, yet it took about 10 minutes—if not longer—for anyone to take our order. After that, we waited another 20 minutes for our takeout, even though the other family had already been served. There were only two of us in our party, so the wait felt excessive. I ordered a chicken strip meal, but the cup of gravy was barely half full. The fries were just okay, and the chicken was too. My husband's burger was good, but overall, the wait time was too long, especially when you're in a hurry.
A few years ago, this restaurant was well-managed, but over the past year, I've experienced extremely long wait times. Once, they even gave our drive-thru order to another customer by mistake. The burger quality has become inconsistent as well. Today, the men's restroom toilet was broken and badly needed repairs. The fries were tough, chewy, and tasted stale. It's evident that the quality has dropped since the original Whataburger changed ownership. I’m giving it 2 stars because, despite missing cheese on my burger, it was still flavorful.
Having lived in Texas for most of my life, I’ve never encountered a Whataburger unable to serve fries or hash browns because all the fryers were broken. It felt like they were being lazy and cutting corners, with no effort made to fix or clean the fryers. On top of that, we waited almost 20 minutes for just burgers, even though the restaurant was hardly busy. I won’t be returning.
