Had THE best time at the Wheelhouse in September. We were delighted to get in at all as it can be fully booked six months in advance. It absolutely did not disappoint, and even exceeded our expectations. Was wonderfully quirky, staff very attentive, and most...importantly the food was sublime. Freshly caught local shellfish cooked to perfection, with local homemade bread and crispy fries. The welcome and ambience felt like we were at a good friend's house for dinner (a Michelin starred chef friend), in their front room overlooking the harbour. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.. Fabulous fish with a fabulous view. Fabulous, knowledgeable staff too! You can tell the calibre of this restaurant by the length of the waiting list! Such a simple idea to provide just great quality seafood with the minimum of fuss. Even the wine is...just red or white (but excellent)! So get ready to make a mess as you will have to attack the lobster and crab yourself, but also be prepared for a really good feast of seafood. We had a magical evening here. I only wish more places would realise it makes sense to do a few things well rather than lots of things badly!
absolutely amazing place and good the waiting time and the pre-booking to eat here. we had almost everything on the menu and every dish delicious. the team working here is so beautiful. I love above all the way they sit with them at the table to talk them through the menu and help them with crabs. all shellfish were fresh, there was absolutely no need to add to any extra spice. no salt and pfeffer pots on the table. my place. definitely come back.

This will take some beating!! Find it, book it, love it!!! Spectacular Spider crab , gorgeous garlic prawns , melt in mouth Mussels and superb Scallops all served super sauces with huge chunks of fresh warm bread . Can’t wait to go back!!
The dining experience here is superb. Without a doubt, some of the best seafood I have ever tasted. The staff is exceptional and incredibly attentive, even when the restaurant is busy. A lovely hidden gem in Falmouth!
I had the most delicious and memorable meal at this restaurant. The scallops were incredibly fresh and fantastic, and the Thai mussels were simply scrumptious.
The most delicious seafood I have probably ever had. Nice going with a group to taste all the delicacies! Such a fun atmosphere! Can't wait to go back!
