I had a wonderful experience at this beautiful historic hotel. Dating back to 1890, the hotel has been revitalized by its current owners who have infused their own charm into the property. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners who provided us with great recommendations for local attractions. Situated in a stunning location surrounded by wildlife, we had the pleasure of seeing pheasants, grouse, and red squirrels. We were booked in for five nights with breakfast by my hunting outfitter. The hunt was only one day and I brought my wife with to travel Scotland over twelve days. The hotel building is in great shape for its age and very cozy. Its location is off of the beaten path, but not too far away from things to do and see. The estate I hunted was six minutes away. The owners and staff are all super nice and genuinely care about you having a nice stay. But the best part is THE FOOD! This is not, “pub grub.” This is a couple of levels above that. This hotel is both charming and unique. The staff gave me a warm welcome and even helped me set up a phone call. Despite booking last minute, I was given a spacious en suite family room with a comfortable bed and warm atmosphere. The freshly cooked food was delicious, with just the right amount of options to choose from. The residents lounge had a cozy fire, and breakfast offered a good variety of choices. The checkout process was friendly and efficient. Extra bonus - dogs are welcome here! Each dog is provided with a blanket to lie on and offered biscuits.
The food was amazing and decently priced despite being in the middle of nowhere, the staff were so friendly, the decor throughout was so quirky; various musical instruments hanging from the ceilings, posters of all descriptions, vintage telephones etc (I especially loved the ladies bathroom done vintage style and the gents bathroom had kegs for urinals! and to top it off we had a great view of the 'Highland coo tree ' loved it altogether Thanks to all the staff there for thoroughly enjoyable experiences 10/10!

Nice, quaint and welcoming little inn. Off the beaten path but would highly recommend. Rooms are a bit tight and no closet but not a problem for a 1-2 night stay. Shower is hot and bed is comfortable. Breakfast buffet included and more than adequate. If you need more there is a menu for larger meal at very small price. Part of the inn is the restaurant/bar which has a special charm all its own with gray service and excellent food. If there on a Sunday definitely should take advantage of the Sunday Roast.
My Sunday roast was a narrow slice of rare beef in a soup plate pool of watery gravy, sitting on tenderstem brocolli. For me, the brocolli was the best thing about the meal. The expected accompanying root veg, that is, what there was of them, were three small pieces of potato sitting in the gravy and a small portion of julienned carrot turnip. Truly a hidden gem of a hotel in the Highlands! Staff are friendly, efficient and just great fun. The food was just amazing highly recommend the Chilli Pot! Such a quirky place to stay in terms of decoration, with so much character. Bar is cosy, great music and service is quick and the team work so well together. The scenery is amazing, and lots to do and see, or you can chill is the residents lounge. Highly recommend.
Dinner bed breakfast stay. Lovely hotel all spotlessly clean warm. Warm welcome very attentive staff. Beautifull food generous portions. Would have no hesitation in staying again recommend to anyone. The hotel is in a rural situation but on a good road with some stunning views never mind which direction you're travelling in.

This pub is a fantastic choice for dinner. The food is of great quality with generous portions, the atmosphere and decor are lovely, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely return without hesitation.
