The White Lion - Réservation de table

I had a fantastic Saturday lunch with friends and grandchildren at the Historic White Lion. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient as she took our food and drink orders. I ordered the homemade Chilli Rice, while a friend ordered a Ploughmans. It was a delicious feast, with the plate covered in bread, a selection of cheeses, salad, slices of ham, and a dish of 4 pickles on the side. The food was great and reasonably priced, and the beer was also quite good!

What a lovely find, first time visiting on recommendation of one of our group. Great food, perfect chicken pie with both top and bottom, crumbly pastry packed with tasty chicken and bacon, lovely crunchy chips and quality peas. Followed by a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding and custard. All served by friendly staff in lovely surroundings. Very reasonable prices as well.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast at The White Lion, a charming pub with friendly atmosphere. The new owners have done an excellent job of maintaining the traditional pub style. The roast was priced at around £10.50, which I thought was fair. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a classic pub experience and a delicious Sunday roast.

We have just had lunch to celebrate my mother’s birthday, we went for the special chicken leak pie which I could only have had two pieces of chicken in the pie if it hadn’t been for the fact we were celebrating a birthday I would have complained there and then , I’m giving it three stars because my husband said the beer was good

We visited here as part of a group of 11. They knew we were coming and it is best to book a table but we did not pre order food. We all enjoyed what we had though thought the service a little slow but it was Saturday lunch time. Good pub atmosphere and the beer was also goo.

The restaurant serves excellent quality food in a charming and welcoming pub atmosphere. Reservations for their Sunday roast need to be made well in advance, indicating the high demand for a delicious meal at this popular dining spot.

We have been visiting this excellent pub for quite a few years, it has been under new management since 2016 and as far as we are concerned it has been changed from a Good Pub to an Excellent Pub . Réservez une table maintenant

Been in here a few times since the landlord Brett took over and he has turned this pub restaurant into a very friendly and comfortable place serving good food and beer. Highly Recommend

This used to be the worst pub in Essex, but since the new landlord has taken over it has become friendly and busy with a small range of well-kept beers.
