Went into pub at 11.46am and asked if they were serving food. The barman said 'not until mid-day, could I get you a coffee if you want to wait? Yes I said, at which point the coffee cup was sent spinning across the counter before being plonked on the tray and filled with coffee. Went back to the counter at 11.55 am as other customers were ordering food, and asked for an item off the brunch menu. I 'm sorry sir, we only serve that item until 12, then go over to the main menu. I replied ' well its till a minute or so to 12, so could I order the item off the brunch menu please? '. Sorry sir, no, as we stopped serving brunch at 11.45! '. gourmet night not bad. great. we went for the gourmet night (british isles theme) the other night and enjoyed the meal. great worth as it was a 4-course menu with 5 glasses wein. This included a British wine and dessert wine. the rioja with the main course was excellent. the meal was very good, although the starter was served and actually ended before serving the first wein. but in total the food traveled. back to the good food I expect from the w
over price. the same food can be found at other places to a much more pale cost, so if the same food that can be found with at least equal, if not better, quality, to a fraction of the cost (the green dragon is just such a device, for example) close to it, it does not take a genie to understand this is only worth visiting if it is particularly frivolous, or how much else is fully booked!
the next pub was the wig and others, which were about 10 meters back to the “Steep Hill” from the magna carta. Now we started to get back to the curs, with some real pubs that served some decent ales.

This place is amazing! An absolute must go when in Lincoln! Get the blade of beef, though a bit pricey it was so delicious I would pay for it again
