After brekkie in Freo I decided to go for a stroll on South Terrace towards south beach in Fremantle dropped in at the Wild Bakery. Nice little bakery with lots of baked goodies on display. This place is popular as a stream of people came and went to buy their daily baked goods. I decided to go with the almond croissant, the filled doughnut, a crusty bread roll and a take-away long Mac I found the almond croissant good, but a little dense; I prefer them a little more delicate and flaky pastry as I had down the road not so long ago. The doughnut was very good with a nice tanginess from the fresh raspberry. The crusty bread roll was also very nice. Will be bake to try other sweet options...rea...

I've been to Wild a few times, mostly on the weekends. The service is good and the coffee is nice. The bread is expensive even by Perth standards! I also don't like paying $6.50 for a normally beautiful pork and fennel sausage roll that has been clearly over cooked. As you can see from my picture the baker was either not familiar with the oven or was napping in the job this particular morning. I did mention to the service boy things look a little over done this morning to which he proceeded to charge full price for the burnt goods. A real shame not to own up and discount or just give away the burnt food to the local homeless people and to continue to sell sub standard food...read more
While nearby, we decided to give Wild Bakery a go today. I gave them 4 out of 5 for now until I try their pastries next time was eyeing on Mocha Croissant but didnt buy. Hubby's Pepper Steak Pie was well seasoned and tasted good. I had the Egg, Spinach Cheese Brioche and loved it. Brioche was soft and fillings were nice. For dessert I bought their Cherry Mascarpone Lamington which was great and not too sweet. Their coffees are using Gesha's coffee beans. Mocha was well balanced, good job Ms Barista. The girls were friendly and efficient. It's a cute bakery worth a visit when you're in the neighbourhood. Will go back one day.
My new favourite bakery!. I can write this because I know my grandmother doesn’t use the internet. I just had the best Cornish Pastie ever! full of rich mince herbs and veg and encased in s beautiful buttery pastry I was very happy I made the free cat trip from Freo to sample their wares. To top it off, I also purchased a raspberry and rhubarb (match made in heaven) tart to accompany my afternoon coffee. Needless to say the coffee will be lonely this afternoon! Well worth the free cat trip Fremantians! Réservez une table maintenant
Googled bakery in Fremantle and came across Wild Bakery, stopped off on the way home to get something sweet, we got a slice of carrot cake, a lemon meringue and a French stick. The carrot cake didn't taste anything like carrot cake, the base of the meringue was burnt and to top it all off the French stick was as hard as the knobs of hell. We won't be back.
I love this place! came here for the first time because I needed something good, fresh brot early in the morning - opening around 6 o'clock was a HUGE motif for me to try this place. have a four-seed laaf, obst laaf and Turkish orange cake . everything was perfect! serious, do them yourself please one and just go to wild bakery
Almond croissant heaven..... I just died and went to heaven. The almond croissant here is just absolute bliss. PERFECT pastry, delicious filling, lots of yummy flakey almonds. Get one of their delicious coffees to wash it down- you won't regret it.
we have been happy customers since the 1st day, but their new system to hide the amount they charge stinks. I thought that the shops have to show the customer the price on the to before they pay. not good, and many people have complained. repair! Réservez une table maintenant
