I used to frequent Wild Fig when they were located in Glen Cove and I absolutely loved it. So, when I discovered they had a new location near my workplace, I was thrilled. However, I found that they have transitioned to a "Chipotle" style service, which was unexpected. While the food is usually quick at Chipotle-style restaurants, there always seems to be a long line at this location. Despite this, the food is definitely worth the wait if you have time to spare. Unfortunately, the staff can be a bit careless and inattentive, often serving other customers while you are trying to pay. I was thrilled to discover this restaurant! I visit Port Washington for work a few times a year and was getting tired of dining at the hotel or the expensive restaurants in the area. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable for the generous portions. I will definitely be returning on every trip! I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The large salad bowl was filled with ample portions of well-seasoned chicken, hummus, chickpeas, and other ingredients. Truly the best value for $17, which includes a drink and some Greek flatbread. Absolutely delicious.
