I am a regular visitor of the garden centre and cafe. My recent visit to the cafe had me concerned. The staff there have been and continue to be so friendly, you almost feel they are family. However when I visited on Thursday it was...clear they are vastly understaffed. I arrived just before and there were queues to be seated, the service was quite slow, many tables hadn`t been cleared and the floors were filthy in places. The food and drink was the usual high standard, but the poor staff were visibly tired and quite stressed. I believe they are also working over and above their allotted hours. So, keep the high standards of the food, but let your staff have those standards too. Look after t...
We were hoping to have lunch so around we called in on our way home. I am gluten free so asked if there was a gluten free menu. I was given the menu to browse and found they did a gluten free cooked breakfast....Hurrah.. It finishes service at There was nothing else on the menu.. I asked if they had gluten free bread so I could have toast.. No they don't do just toast but I could have sandwiches or soup. I declined and in the end just had coffee. They do vegan, vegetarian meals which is a good thing but gluten free is not the same. I find it increasing difficult to eat out/get a full meal that's cooked. Is it really so difficult to do? Good cup of coffee though.
We’ve had the pleasure of dining in the outside area of your lovely restaurant three times recently. It’s really dog friendly and the food each time has been beautiful. Your staff are all lovely but a special mention must go to Linda ! Without fail...we have had a lovely welcome and great service with a smile. No matter how busy Linda is she greats us our dogs fetches them a fresh bowl of water. Nothing is too much trouble. She’s a credit to your team. Please pass on our thanks x
What has happened? Visited with my elderly sister today as a little treat for her. It was quite clear that there was not enough staff. Far too long to wait to be seated. Lack of organisation. We ordered scones, which were tasteless, but the tea...was good. Added to the disorganisation, the sliding doors of exit were constantly getting stuck, which meant that the overworked staff had to keep leaving their work to help open the doors. Overall, it was a disappointing visit.

My daughter and I have the Christmas lunch at the garden centre every year, this year was awful, the gravy was like water,the roast potatoes didnt taste of anything and the veg was raw. And everything was cold, so disappointing but the staff as usual...were lovely. So disappointing.
this is a department store for her home. it sells garden products, aquaria dinge, decorations as well as toys, books and dishes. I am happy to have seen many Christmas decorations. the singing animals make fun for children. good to run around there.
The customer service and food were outstanding! Sat outside which was surprisingly very comfortable! The two members of staff who outshined themselves were James and Mollie who were both very attentive! Thank you I will return.
tables well spaced. service was fast and friendly. we had comfort eating fish finger sandwich with a small beside salad very pleasant. my only negatiw would be the coffee that is so strong and bitter that of two coffee lovers.

Very poor club sandwich . The worst I have ever had. Even the coffee was not what we ordered. Poor value for money
