Ich gehe mit meiner Familie schon seit ein paar Jahren immer wieder mal zur Wimbachgrieshütte. Unsere Tour beginnt immer von der Wimachbrücke (am Ortsrand von Ramsau). Dort kann man für 2,50 Euro den ganzen Tag parken an schönen Sommertagen ist der Parkplatz allerdings maßlos überfüllt. Der Aufstieg, falls man es überhaupt so nennen darf, es sind zwar 8 - 10 Kilometer Distanz aber es gibt nur eine relativ geringe Steigung, dauert etwa 2,5 Stunden. Am besten geht man bevor es losgeht noch durch die berühmten Wasserfälle, die sind zwar meistens von Menschenmassen überlaufen, aber dennoch eine Augenweide.Jetzt endlich zur Hütte, es sind drinnen und draußen ausreichend Plätze vorhanden. Leider hat das Wetter bei unserer Tour nicht mitgespielt, aber die Wimbachgrießhütte mit dem freundlichen Personal hat es herausgerissen. Wir sind dort Mittags völlig durchnässt angekommen und der Hüttenwirt hat uns sofort den Trockenraum aufgeheizt. Die Gaststube war mit einem Holzofen geheizt, sodass man schnell wieder aufgewärmt wurde. Nachtlager und Waschräume waren zweckmäßig. Die Speisen und Getränke waren sehr gut (sowohl deftige als auch süße Speisen!) Preise für Übernachtung, Abendessen und Frühstück waren für eine Hütte absolut in Ordnung. Wir kommen wieder!
To visit Wimbachgrieshütte, you have to hike up an easy, but about 3 hrs long (!) path from Wimbachbrücke parking lot - so ist is more of a mountain cabin than a restaurant. They do serve some simple dishes, though, which are nice and with a good serving size for hungry mountaineers. You can also book basic sleeping space in beds as well as dorms, as some longer hikes into Nationalpark Berchtesgaden backcountry start there (reservation very strongly recommended, use phone number provided!)
Ich empfehle, vom Parkplatz Wimbachbrücke kommend den Weg bis zur Wimbachgrießhütte durchzulaufen. Je nach Kondition dauert das 2 bis 2,5 h. Das Wimbachschloss auf halbem Weg kann man sich für eine weitere Einkehr auf dem Rückweg aufheben. Man sitzt toll an der Wimbachgrießhütte. Die Preise sind extrem fair - interessanterweise ist vieles sogar günstiger als am Wimbachschloss, obwohl die Ware weiter transportiert werden muss. Anfang Juli rasteten wir kurz in der Hütte. Wir tranken etwas im Aussenbereich. Der Pickup der Wirtsleute kam zur gleichen Zeit an. Als nach einer geraumer Zeit der Motor des Wagens noch immer lief, machte ein Zeichen, doch bitte den Motor auszuschalten. Das Schreien und Schimpfen der Wirtin daraufhin war heftig. Eine solche aggressive Unfreundlichkeit habe ich selten erlebt. Diese Hütte werde wir meiden.
Tired after a long walk of three days and very hungry. At Wimbachgries a dry river bed full of stones in the National Parc there is this nice hut. We went there at the last day of the season so almost evrything was sold...out. But the service was very friendly and the dishes were quite big excellent food. Réservez une table maintenant
