After wrapping up some business at the Putnam County courthouse, I realized I was in the mood for a bite to eat. I recalled that my dad enjoyed visiting the Winfield Dairy Freeze for their famous footlong West Virginia hot dogs. It’s a charming little American eatery filled with nostalgia. However, today I wasn't feeling like hot dogs, so I opted for the cheeseburger meal instead. It comes with a choice of French fries or onion rings, and includes a drink. Unfortunately, I didn't jot down the various fries they offer! Since it was a bit chilly outside, I chose to sit outside to warm up, which meant the drive-thru was off the table. I will just say that we will not come here ever again since we keep getting attitude from a younger employee, I don’t know her name, but she keeps giving me and my daughter attitude and we did tip every time went there to eat and never gave attitude towards anyone. The last order we got, the grilled chicken had almost uncooked chicken, the nachos and cheese were terrible and there was no Sierra Mist syrup in the Sierra Mist, we ended up throwing it away, the only things that were good on that order was the cheese sticks and the hot dog and when I ordered it, the person gave attitude again. Usually the food was good before. So yeah, don’t worry we will never come back again.
Just spent 10 min in the drive thru and another 10 pulled to the side waiting f 3 hotdogs. After I “reminded,”them, I was still waiting, a girl walks Out hands me my bag, rolled her eyes and walks off.Won’t be back till they quit hiring kids who are more interested in tweeting than working.
Horrible! The mayo smelled sour on my burger. Plus the fries were old and the Grease definitely needed changed! Then after spending $18 on the food, the $5 worth of ice cream they gave me WAS LUDICROUS! Wasn't even 1 scoop let alone 2. I was beyond

Old fashioned diner has a great atmosphere. Very clean place. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Order at the counter but food is delivered to the table.
I got the general burger and a milkshake. Food was great, service was excellent, and the whole place looked super clean.
The food is excellent, service is quick, the restaurant is clean, and it’s a great spot to relax and unwind.
Amazing chicken salad on toast and bbq! Their kandy koolers are always generously loaded too!
