Honestly, the only parts of this meal that wasn't outstanding were the hush puppies. Everything else I ate the smoked bratwurst, the mustard based gold sauce, the flavorful hash, and the mixture of black eyed peas and collard greens was stellar. That hash in particular was delicious. The Dixie Pig is certainly not a large establishment, and it might be easy to miss without a little GPS guidance. The primary dining area holds little more than a few bar stools, a pair of high top tables, and about four four seater tables. There's also a secondary dining area that's much larger, connected to the main establishment by a door near the bar counter. The staff here is down to earth, welcoming, and on top of their game. What was wrong with the hush puppies? They were certainly edible, but unlike everything else on the plate they were decidedly plain and flavorless. A little chopped jalapeno, a bit of sugar, or damn near anything else could liven them up. And that's seriously the only complaint I have. 4.5 stars, though I'd like to come back and try a few other dishes to see if everything else measures up.

We relied on Yelp while traveling and found this little local favorite BBQ place. It's a small, casual place with good food and service. The server was extraordinarily nice.

I love the ribs and the black eye peas mixed with the collard greens. Sooo good!!! Great customer service too

Second time here and just as good! Drove an hour out of the way to get the St. Louis style ribs.
