We have eaten there twice recently with the kids and the place has been revisited by the extended family since the 60's. Ok, they haven't done much of refurbishments ever since but that adds in to the rustic charme of the 60's. Also everything is very clean and the service was really good.The food plates are of good quality, enough to eat even for a hungry man and they also offer good value menus for the kids. from the decor we were totally excited, I know the local as it was 20 years ago, a traditional house decorated in dark wood, now harmonizes everything with each other, it has a very cozy atmosphere and we were very attentively served, the kitchen is very creatiw and the eating correspondingly beautifully decorated, i.e. the houseman's cos is modernly interpreted and tasted very well, it is very well looked after b. to refresh after a hike in the rheingau, deo-spray etc.
