If you look for a place to eat around Zwettl in the North of Austria, this is one of the better choices. Traditional and not so traditional food is served together with good wine and in a very down-to-earth regional ambience. The owners could don a smile once in a while and the opening times are rare, but apart from that this old-style Wirtshaus is a lovely choice for a weekend lunch.
I must say I searched this one, it was no coincidence that we stayed for a meal at this place. They are supposed to have great authentic food.They indeed cook very well, no question there, also the owners are nice people. Prices are I would say okay for Austria.Be prepared that there is only cash accepted, no cards :)
