Wirtshaus Zum Platzl

At the first visit we chose from the map, very tasty (Potpourri made of lens, Quinoa etc. The cook came to our table and told us that if desired he cooks vegan for us beyond the map. We liked to accept that and were not disappointed three kinds of the artichoke, the best vegan food we ever had in a inn. Innovative, great plate language, megalecker absolutely recommended. Table reservation of advantage.

Nachdem wir in Garmisch doch etwas enttäuscht waren, was die veganen Essensmöglichkeiten angeht, wurden wir in Mittenwald mit tollen drei Gängen glücklich. Leider wird das Restaurant am 07.11.2022 schließen. Vielleicht ist eine traditionelle bayrische Kleinstadt noch nicht bereit für eine Küche (nicht nur vegan), abseits von Haxe und Schweinebraten.

We were allowed to enjoy an incredibly delicious vegan Christmas menu there and then keep a chat with the owners. There are always pure vegan dishes, if necessary you just have to ask, they are not marked separately on the map. Almond milk is always present. The food was so beautifully dressed and tasted great!

After we were somewhat disappointed with vegan food in Garmisch, we were satisfied in Mittenwald with three courses. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on 07.11.2022. Perhaps a traditional Bavarian small town is not ready for a kitchen (not only vegan), away from haxe and pork roast.

Die ehemaligen Pächter des Platzes haben nun ihr eigens Restaurant Gegenüber Tischleine Deck dich mit diversen Veganen/vegetarischen Optionen. Das Platzel ist nun eine südtiroler Kneipe OHNE veganes/vegateisches Angebot! Updated from previous review on 2024-05-18

Hat sich eigentlich 5 Sterne verdient. Sehr gutes Restaurant. Gemütlich, freundlich und lecker. Hatte Avocado trifft Mais mit Tempura, salzigem Popcorn und einer leicht scharfen, hervorragenden Currysauce für 19 €. Sehr originell und war mir jeden Cent wert.

Das Wirtshaus zum Platzl ist inzwischen eher eine Bar und bieten keinerlei vegane Auswahl mehr. Zum Glück gibt es die ehemaligen Besitzer noch. Diese sind jetzt im Tischlein Deck Dich zu finden. Adresse: Hochstraße 16, 82481 Mittenwald

It deserves 5 stars. Very good restaurant. Cosy, friendly and tasty. Has avocado meets corn with tempoura, salty popcorn and a slightly sharp, excellent curry sauce for 19 €. Very original and worth every cent.

Essen kam sehr schnell (war leider zu dem Zeitpunkt auch nicht viel los) und ist super lecker. Leider nur eine kleine Auswahl an veganen Gerichten. Bedienung sehr offenherzig und nett!

Food came very fast (which unfortunately does not go much at the time) and is super delicious. Unfortunately only a small selection of vegan dishes. Operation very open and beautiful!
