I used to eat here all the time years ago, and I don 't know what happened, but the food is not the same. The Chicken Fried Rice is super bland, even after adding soy sauce it just doesn 't taste good, and the ratio of rice/chicken/green onions is way off, had way too much rice and little else. The cream cheese wontons tasted fine, but were extremely tough and hard to chew. If i could give it a lower rating i would. I ordered the chowmein. I was expected, boiled, soft noodles that just melted in my mouth. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I've gotten takeout from here twice and enjoyed the food both times. The dishes I ordered were the subgum shrimp and chicken with pea pods. I'm on a healthy low sodium diet, and this has made my taste buds more sensitive than they used to be. Wong's Kitchen accommodated my requests to skip the salt both times. No other restaurant I've been to since beginning my healthy low sodium diet provides so many low sodium meal options.
I've been eating at Wong's kitchen for around 15 years and I always go back. I love their house lo mein and fried chicken! I usually get take out and it only takes around 15min for the food to be ready. Lunch buffet is small but it's what got me hooked on the lo mein and fried chicken.
