The best steak I've ever eaten in my life. I grew up in DC, in the best steak houses. Blackie’s House of Beef, Duke Ziebert’s, Mel Krupin’s, the Palm, Morton’s, etc. The crust on the NY strip was carburized for perfection with salt pepper and butter. The interior was very delicate medium rare, marbled with zero handle. That was the second time I ordered the mouthwater steak. Absolutely consistent both times. The consistency is the hallmark of exceptional restaurants. This takes incredible attention to detail from a relationship to her butcher to choose the cuts to train the chefs and waiters. Kudos. Woodmont Grill NIE disappointed! It's been three years since I've eaten here and decided to go over the weekend. I ordered the Chesapeake Oysters and the Kale and Rotisserie Chicken Salad absolutely delicious. Kale, selected from Rotisserie Chicken, Herbs and a Honey Lime Vinaigrette. Perfect for lunch, not too heavy, but part of the chicken had skin on it. My companion had the Thai Beef Salad with Mango, very tasty. The bartenders, Mikaela and Dillion had excellent customer service. I'll be back soon.
The bar here is the best part. I prefer the bar to the tables and tables are reservation only that must be booked ahead of time. Atmosphere is exclusive jazz club like. Bartenders are excellent. Everything is obviously expensive the roast beef sandwich is good as well as the grilled whole artichoke appetizer. Also they make rice less sushi upon request.
I crashed into town to bring my mom to lunch for my birthday and we had a nice time. I ordered the traditional Hawaiian steak with broccoli while ordering the salmon. The waitress noted that it was my mom's birthday, so she broke out a hot Fudge sunshade with a candle. That made my mom so happy. My stomach and my heart were both full. #Thankful
