I am really disappointed that Gary is the only person available to take orders over the phone. He is unfriendly and impatient, often sounding tense and busy, and he tends to hang up abruptly. He doesn’t politely inform me to hold on while he calculates the total price or estimates how long it will take for my order to arrive. I understand that he may not be able to provide an exact time, but it would be helpful if he could at least say something like "fifteen minutes" or "half an hour." When I asked for a manager, he claimed to be the manager, but he certainly doesn’t behave like one, leaving me unsure if he really holds that position. The old Woodro in the Peninsula shopping center was far better! I’m not a fan of the new owners. I called to place an order for someone to pick up for me, and when I asked the guy on the phone how much it would be, he had the audacity to question why I was asking about the price! I was taken aback and felt I had to explain myself. The hamburgers were undercooked, and the food tasted overly salty. We’ve decided to stop going there and would much rather drive an extra 20 minutes to Lido Kosher Deli in Long Beach. What a fantastic discovery! We were advised to go to Woodro for a lunch after a funeral, and I can't say enough about how well they handled our large group of around 25 people. They even stayed open late without mentioning they had closed. The food was fresh and delicious. I would definitely return and highly recommend it—10/10!

This is a classic kosher restaurant that offers outstanding pastrami, delicious knishes, and a full menu of kosher dishes. It's a fantastic spot for lunch. Highly recommend!

Many of the iconic delis and shops have seen better days, but you can't stop progress. The food remains excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
