Interesting and inviting interior to the restaurant and the Maitre was very friendly, that was until I asked for more vegetables (which did not arrive), what food that did arrive was reasonably tasty but there was so little of it that when the main course came, I asked in a friendly and polite manner if I coupon have a further portion of vegetables, as I needed more than the 2 forkfuls that arrived. The spoon was forgotten by the waitress for my Wife's Gazpacho and it didn't come until after my hot starter was finished, a shame but not the end of the world, when I did ask when we might expect the extra vegetables, we were told that everything was especially prepared and such a thing was impossible. The maitre then went on to say that the waitress was his daughter and that our request had made her cry, which surprised us enormously. The food was reasonable but not of star quality, we got the impression that the owners thought that we were lucky to dine there and should accept just a snippet of food and be grateful. Go elsewhere for dinner first then enjoy your snippet at Xaya thereafter, Don't go hungry!

Very good place, the food is excellent and the staff very friendly. If you go to this restaurant you must order the “Menu degustation”. Everything was perfect from the starter to the dessert. Special mention for the starter which was made of 2 different combinations of oysters et foie gras, it was incredibly good. For the wine you should test the Prunelart Amphore made with an old and rare type of grape called prunelart. If you are still hungry, you can also order a plate of local cheeses with a glass of 15 or 40 years old pinot. A place you must not miss if you visit Saint-Jean-de-Luz

Excellent host and excellent food . No doubt one of the better places in the greater area. I loved the seasoning and combinations. While in most Michelin star restaurants it is somehow difficult to identify the fish or piece of meat between all the foams and little dips of sauce and flowers, here you get a well belanced combination of high class cuisine and „ the real stuff“

A great restaurant, cosy atmosphere with great service. We were a family of 4 and had the lunch menu at 25€. Good choice on the set menu and each course was well presented and delicious. The ingredients were local and fresh. Book in advance as we were lucky to get the last table. We would definitely go back.
