This is our favorite bao zi store in Los Angeles. I love this shop because it is a simple operation. You choose the type of baos from the menu board, pay, and then collect your baos. Since the pandemic, they have increased their prices, but I assume it's due to inflation. It costs about $30 for two boxes of baos, so you can use a credit card since it meets their minimum. The store is very clean. Our family enjoys these baos, and they are devoured quickly.
This' my go-to place for steamed buns. The quality of the baos are pretty consistent, I love the chewiness of the dough and the fillings are flavorful. My favorites are the pork, chicken mushroom and veggie (chive egg) baos. Tips: Go around noon time that's when all the baos are fresh out of the steamers. Order ahead for the pork baos, since it tends to sell out quickly. Bring cash, they only take credit card with $30+ purchase.

Pretty rude service. The shop seemed to not care about customers at all. Support credit card payment over $30, which is very suspicious in terms of tax evasion.
I didn't enjoy my experience at this restaurant. The service was rude and it left a bad impression on me, even though I visited a while ago.
So far from downtown but you can't find a better bun place in LA. Still have almost 20 buns in my freezer.
