Not the experience I was hoping for given the 4.5+ ratings. Freshness of the fish was on point, however the construction of most rolls was subpar. Drunken noodles were not great, it was more of a Lo Mein with undercooked noodles. Male server was a little off putting, and didn't contribute to the lack of atmosphere. Definitely our go to place for sushi in northern Baltimore. The food is fresh, the flavors are spot on and they always give you something a little extra for desert (my favorite is the fried Oreo). Don't be fooled by the strip mall center location to food is very good. Yamato Sushi was excellent. I of course cannot remember the name of the three rolls I ordered but one of them, the Morgan, out of this world. Great service and food came out quickly. Restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with great parking. Super casual as well. I would come back and recommend. Yamato is not a secret. We went on a Saturday evening around 7:00 and the place was jumping. You would be well advised to get a reservation. Despite the crowd, service was quick and the food as always, was excellent. Amazing! Ate here with my dad tonight for the first time and wow! So delicious and so incredibly fresh!! Truly might be the best sushi I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share of sushi.
