Apart from that, when we were allowed to sit outside in the gasse in the frame of the reopening of lockdown, I haven't been in the old one for a long time. london pride is a standard in fullers pubs and I thought I had it. No, not available, was told to me. ok, what is similar, I asked. ‘old school’ was proposed. Okay, a brush of it. Five pounds. I tried a ten. No, we don't accept cash. other customers came in and asked for pride. not up, they were said. I also heard someone say it was in the cellar, but they haven't picked it up yet. the oldschool was finished, so I had given the last out of the barrel. it was okay, but drinking, but obviously I didn't want another one. I also heard another...

Visited for the first time some months ago on a pub crawl, been back a few times since due to the lovely atmosphere and staff. I like that it's tucked away and hard to find. That being said it's not such a closely guarded secret and the after-work drinks lot can cause a bit of a crush post 5pm. But always good choice of drinks and the cosiness causes some nice conversations with strangers. Who knows maybe there's some ancient magic in the old wooden beams and well trodden carpet that just make kind spirited folk imbibe and chat. ;

it was very obvious that I had no idea what to do or expect during a busy Wednesday night, but the men behind the bar were incredibly patient and friendly. I wanted to go here for years, and I'm so glad that was my first experience. all the charm and character they would ever hope for from an iondon pub, but they do not come here if they expect a complete meal as I did wrong. the meat cake was still delicious. I wish I had the opportunity to try more beer! Pro-Tip when they try to find it from hatton garden: look at it!

An absolutely delightful pub that’s so tucked away you have to know where you’re going. It’s one of my favourite places to pop on a cold winter’s evening. London Pride on tap, friendly staff behind the bar, quirky small rooms tucked around corners, and a fire burning away near the bar. Be sure to try upstairs if the bar area is too busy. A truly “old school” pub menu of pork pies, cheese toasties, and scotch eggs. A real hidden gem that’s all too rare to come by in central London these days.

I visited here in October as part of a birthday tour around some of London's oldest pubs. A small, quirky pub tucked away down a small alleyway. What a fantastic place, a real piece of old London. The front bar is quite small but cosy, there is outside seating to the front and undercover outside seating to the side and rear. Nice choice of ales on draught and bottle. Well worth a visit, I shall certainly be going back.

Cracking pub with lots of atmosphere. 5 genuine Ales on today, from a variety of breweries. The food is quite limited, sausage rolls, pork cake and toasties, but they go well with the beer. If you want to have an elaborate meal, book a restaurant (without the excellent selection of beer).

ye olde mitre is really the most hidden gem of a pub in london. probably the oldest and the smallest; still holds its 1546 charme. from a small narrow street from hatton garden

Fantastic 16th century pub with very traditional food and an astounding atmosphere. Wonderful staff, too. Family friendly as well.
