I recently returned to the Lakewood area and was excited to grab my favorite gyro. My expectations were quite high as I placed my order for a sandwich, fries, and two soups to go (you can't beat leftover Greek soup when you're feeling under the weather). I decided to enjoy my sandwich in the car, and at first, it was delightful. However, about halfway through, I encountered a strange issue with the meat. It wasn't the usual thinly sliced gyro meat; instead, it had an odd circular shape that I had never seen before. It didn't appear to be shaved off the rotisserie, and it wasn't the frozen slices that some places use either. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the sandwich, which was disappointi...
I made it a point to visit this restaurant, and it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it! The prices are very reasonable, and the food is exceptional. I ordered the Greek Chicken Souvlaki Platter, and it was wonderful. If you're not in the mood for Greek cuisine, they offer other options as well. Their French fries are excellent—better than any cabin fries I've had. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was even better.
I came across Yianni's yesterday, and I have to say, their gyro sandwich is exactly what I've been looking for in Denver for years! The pita is perfectly soft, there's a generous helping of thinly sliced meat, and the tzatziki sauce is delicious. I'm thrilled to have found this hidden gem of a restaurant, and I can't wait to go back!
Absolutely fantastic food every time! The gyros sandwich is delicious, the gyros platter is perfect for a low-carb option, and the salads are delightful. The staff are consistently friendly, and even though we only visit once or twice a month, they remember our orders. If you haven't been yet, you definitely need to give it a try! We stopped here on our way to our destination after arriving in Denver. We ordered the falafel platter and the gyro platter, and I don't think I've ever eaten that quickly before! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious; every single bite was fantastic. I'm really glad we took the detour to visit this place!
