Zocalo University Village is HUGE!! And very beautiful. We sat inside although next time I might pick outside on the patio. Sunday at 1:30 and the place was not full, not noisy, but the service was a little slow. However, there is so much to look at around you, you don't really mind except we wanted our cocktails and my sis waited for her cola even longer. The food is beautiful too and a LOT of it. Two of us got the 3-taco selection. I chose fish, shrimp and carnitas (yum) and sis got fish, shrimp and the mushroom which she said was very tasty. They were probably short staffed, but the service was very sporadic and it took a while to get my food. I wasn't asked if I wanted to get a drink first. I felt like I had to track down an available server. I've had great service before, but this was subpar service in my opinion. My food and drink were very good.

I had an early business dinner, reservations for 4 were 5:00. Not much going on that early on a Wednesday, service and food were fantastic. Going to take my wife to the one in Roseville.

Love eating dinner on the back patio at Zocalos. It’s always a nice and relaxing experience. The food is delicious and the black berry margarita is my go to!
The ladies had a great time getting together for happy hour. The food and drinks were fab but the service was outstanding.
I tried the Tostada with a hamburger, but the meat was cold. The restaurant is beautiful and the servers are wonderful.
