My husband and I had a very enjoyable lunch. A small cup of broth and a brioche (with strawberry butter! was given to each of us, before we even ordered, and they were delicious. We ordered the cup of soup (autumn squash with half a tuna fish sandwich and salad. This soup was also excellent, as was the sandwich. This was a birthday meal, and, we were surprised by a free dessert, a custard that was scrumptious. The service was just right, with empty plates being removed and water refilled quietly. I asked to take my sandwich home, and it was beautifully packed. The bill came with three chocolate candies. you couldn't ask for a better experience.
It was my mom’s 91st birthday which I indicated when making the reservation. This went unacknowledged and we had to ask for a candle in a dessert. Gladly would have paid for a cake or something to make a 91st birthday feel as special as it is. Mom did not enjoy the orange soufflé and chicken salad. She said they were unseasoned and tasteless. The shrimp n’ guac, recommended by waiter, Thomas were delicious. The other guests enjoyed their meals.
Lovely spot for an upscale lunch. The food is very enjoyable and the classic menu is always available. The service this time around was rather slow and we had to flag down the waiter a couple times to get more water or some lemon slices for tea. I would recommend this Restaurant just keep in mind. The pace is leisurely.
The NM Cafe provides a lovely environment, delicious food and experienced, attentive servers. It is an oasis of civility in a hectic world.

Came here last week with clients and really enjoyed our lunch! I had a salad with salmon and we split the crab cakes.
I've been here in the past and always thought their food is greatHowever, aside from that, the service is lacking.
Great service, Caesar salad with grilled pretend was delicious as was my guests lunch.
This has gone way downhill Almost inedible and terrible service Popovers were eggy
