We ate here last night, (two adults, and two boys 14 years and 11 years). We had to wait an hour and ten mins for the starter. The staff did tell us there would be a "bit of a wait but keine problemem". There was plenty to keep us entertained. The restaurant is railway themed obviously with authentic sounding steam trains noises. Its right beside the river with lots of passing river traffic. Its good for people watching too! The staff keep you topped up with delicios local wines and Bitburger beers. When the food finally arrived it was fantastic. We fell on the food like ravenous wolves by the time the mains arrived an hour and forty five after arriving.A shared platter of salami, smoked boa...

The café restaurant is a converted station overlooking the Moselle, coming from the East along the river footpath more or less the first place you tumble across. We ate outside but the interior seemed very charming. It is owned by one of the local winegrowers and serves an interesting list of their products, red and white, still and sparkling, as well as beer. Food is traditional German, substantial and very tasty.The service remained friendly and efficient despite dealing with a capacity crowd, some tourists like us but many people from the neighbourhood which I guess speaks for the relative quality of the food and wine on offer.

L'ancienne gare est chargée d'histoire et Dieu merci, elle a été sauvée lorsque la voie ferrée a été supprimée. J'ai maintenant visité ce restaurant plusieurs fois pour le déjeuner et le dîner, ainsi qu'un rafraîchissement décontracté du vin l'après-midi. Les choix de plats ne sont pas exceptionnels, typiquement allemands ... mais tous d'excellente qualité, tout comme le vin. De la bière est également disponible. Il y a une belle vue sur la rivière et un après-midi ensoleillé, quoi de mieux que de regarder les bateaux passer tout en sirotant un charmant Riesling frais de la région. This place saved the day. We had no luck going from place to place in Zell, and were refused almost everywhere. No food left, no free table, too late, whatever. We ended up it this old train station, that was not our first choice, but we have been really positively surprised. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good wine list and good price. Please don't waste your time and go there FIRST ! Réservez une table maintenant

Located in the former small railway station with a garden overlooking the Moselle, this is a very reasonable place to have a simple but tasty lunch and to sample the local wine at very reasonable prices.

Great evening meal and lovely wine grown by the family, even bought some to take home. Only criticism is that they could provide an English translated menu having said this the waiter was very helpful

Visité ici avec des amis il y a deux ans et encore cette année. Vin local fantastique et bonne nourriture. Schnitzel était super et l'assiette sauvage était un régal unique

Visited here with friends two years ago and again this year. Fantastic local wine and great food. Schnitzel was great and the "Wild plate" was a unique treat.

Used to be the main railway station. Pretty garden overlooking the river. Friendly staff and excellent wine. The menu is limited but very good.
