The Restaurant zum Glück in Rauenberg is a wonderful place for everyone who values fresh, seasonal cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere. What is particularly impressive is the well thought out concept of the daily changing dishes, each of which offers a vegetarian and a meat version. These dishes not only change daily, but are prepared with great attention to detail, so that every visit becomes a new culinary experience. Not a typical restaurant, but a social project (employment project for mentally ill people). So there is no menu in that sense. I therefore recommend checking the website to see what dishes are available this week. Otherwise the selection may be very limited. When we arrived, lunch (which is probably very inexpensive and good) had just ended and there was only 1 type of cake left, which we all had to take. But it was very tasty and we were happy to support the social project.
We arrived at the place by chance..... not by following the ratings on the internet, and we made the right choice, not a lot of choice on the menu, but well presented dishes, copious and really really delicious, we are a Thursday and the saithe dishes, with mash and kohlrabi, rice pudding desert with apple puree and cinnamon a treat, thank you to the waiters for their sympathy and paciente for the language.
I was there with a friend for breakfast on Thursday morning. At first we were the only ones, later other guests came. Breakfast is around 10 p.m. with a hot drink. P. a. It was good.
