Zum Goldenen Kreuz

We recently had lunch with my mother at the Goldenes Kreuz in Frauenfeld. A mighty, beautiful and historic house in which the poet Johannes Wolfgang von Goethe was a guest on December 3, 1779. A painted paneling from the 17th century in the “Goethe-Stübli” guest room, which is now very comfortably furnished, is a reminder of this. As soon as we greet you, you can feel the warmth and warmth and we immediately felt at home. We had a great lunch here, in this very well-kept house and lovingly decorated restaurant, with very tasty food and great service. We would like to thank you very much for this.

Very fine food. Mega friendly service. But maybe you could be a little more attentive, e.g. pour more wine. Coffee for Fr. 5.90 is overpriced in my opinion. The pralines and Hüppen that are served with cream and sugar are probably also charged for. Otherwise great, would love to come back.

As always, we were absolutely spoiled this evening in terms of service and cuisine! Every dish was a poem and the service was just the right amount of courteous yet reserved. Thank you very much for this wonderful evening and see you next time.
