we accidentally found this hotel and restaurant while driving away from airport while refusing to pay exorbitant hotel rates near Frankfurt airport. Our daughter and granddaughter had an morning flight out the next day. Owners were most helpful...let me see room before we decided...menu was perfect...view from dining room was relaxing...overlooking Main River...there were ducks for our three year old granddaughter to watch while awaiting our meal...Breakfast was included the next morning...would stay here anytime I was flying our of Frankfurt...very convenient and less than 20 minutes away. Owners gave easy directions to get us on our way. Food was very good and reasonable price also...seeme...

Our last day in Germany, we sayed at the Mercure Hotel near Frankfurt Airport. Not wanting hotel food, we looked for something close by. We were delighted to discover Zum Grunen Baum in Kelsterbach, just 15 minutes away by auto. It is a Greek / German restaurant with patio dining overlooking the Main river. We thought the food was very good and affordable... stick with the daily specialties. The restaurant is run by a Greek / German family who lives next door. Service was slow by American standards but that was OK with us; we were happy to liner and watch the river. And the brothers who waited on us were very pleasant. A great place to end the trip, especially when so near the airport.

One of the best Greek restaurants I've been to. The menu was extensive with all the choices for all diet requirements and personal taste. Right by the Main River, the restaurant ambiance was stunning. We had al fresco dinning in a beautiful summer evening supper with a big group of 12 guests. Everyone had a great time and awesome food. Everyone enjoyed the variety of alcoholic drinks. The service was quick, pleasant, and very courteous. Would highly recommend the restaurant if you're in the area. Cheers!

The restaurant is very well located close to the river Main. The restaurant has a parking area which is free from 4:00 p.m. onwards.The food was excellent and very tasty. The food is freshly cooked , therefore one should give them enough time to cook. The staff are very friendly. The price for the food is moderate although the restaurant is quite close to the Frankfurt airport and the city.I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Superb restaurant...lovely ambiance..we went for dinner..they serve traditional German dishes as well as Greek...very homly family run restaurant along the river.known for its fish dishes.had a special roast goose dish..value for money..five of us went.we spent about 120/€ with drinks...

We went here thinking it was a German restaurant by the name, but were not disappointed to find out is was a blend of German and Greek cuisine. The food was Ok, not great and not bad, but we'd hoped for a little more interesting offerings. Service also was OK.

been there a few times in the last few years now avoid the place over price poor quality food full of old german stamtische who dont notice the quality of the food once they are a little drunk - many years ago the quality was much better

We had a 25 year reunion at the Zum Grünen Baum, Gaststatte. The food was tasty and affordable, not pretentious. The place also has a hotel. The location is on the Main river.

I've been going here for years and the food is always good. The staff are really pleasant and helpful. I can recommend this as a really good greek restaurant.

Great location, meals and staff. The quantity is getting less year by year and the prices are equal but the meals are funtastic.
