we’ve dined at zuma many times and they have all been excellent (food service). this time, the service was lacking. and on mother’s day of all days. starting at the hostess station, i checked in and she asked if all party of 8 were present. i said that it’s a party of 2. i had to call twice to make sure it was changed from 8 to 2 because the app wouldn’t let me make the change. when i said i had to call twice one of the hostesses laughed in my face. what was so funny? was the fact that i had trouble funny to you? i just glared at her and her smile quickly disappeared. i didn’t do or say anything at the time because my mom is much nicer than me and she said to let it go. please do better at t...
Upon arriving, we had to wait 20 minutes before being sat, even though we had a reservation. Not the first time this has happened. Our server was good and we enjoyed the food. Except that our last food item Which was a miso cod was delivered 20 minutes after our second to last food item, very late. Then I unfortunately overheard our server say to the table next to us that he was so sorry and that the cod was late and would be taken off the bill for them. I also emailed the restaurant and have heard nothing. Disappointing service.
We have always loved Zuma, but this time was not the best. They seated us in the bar area and it took about 15 minutes for our server to greet us. While the food was still delicious, it was the same special course selection we have always had. Perhaps it is time for them to add some new dishes to their menu. Zuma has always been our favorite sushi restaurant in Vegas, but this time we did not feel the same high-end experience that we are used to enjoying.
I took my boyfriend here for a celebration and wanted to look for a high end sushi place in Vegas. I am so happy we went here. They gave us great recommendations and they took in my note of it being my boyfriend’s birthday and gave us something complementary for the celebration. Everyone was so nice, attentive and very inviting. We will be back!

Best part of the evening was the phenomenal service. At the end of the day, we really didn't order a lot of food, and only one drink each, and still over $400 for two people. I would hesitate to choose Zuma again because of the value.
Food was super overpriced. We two people, walked out with a 350$ bill and starving. Portions are tiny, nothing innovative about it.
Overall was underwhelmed with the omakase. The servers were great but the food not so much.
Overall, the restaurant is not fantastic, especially considering the price you pay.
