This is the harshest review I’ve ever left for a restaurant. While Zutro gets decent praise on Open Table, our experience was poor in comparison. When we walked into Zutro for dinner, it was like walking into a morgue. It was devoid of any activity. We stood for a second unsure if we were even in the right place. No one acknowledged our existence, offering no welcome, like four people didn’t just walk into their business. I finally walked up to the bar and told them we had a reservation for dinner. The bartender looked shocked, quickly grabbed some menus and showed us to a table. A few minutes later the waitress shows up, looks at our table but doesn’t come over or even say anything. Finally...
zutro restaurant was a beautiful experience. eating was average, didn't feel my price worth. the service was fair, but our server did not seem to know what the kitchen had to hand and surprisingly even at 6pm they were made of items on the menu and from martini glasses. small details like this opportunity when they pay $15 for a cocktail in my head. the server didn't know what kind of nice came with a court, it was friendly and attentive overall, but not excessively trained. the ambiente was nice with good music and at this hour it was not busy. the front host were very welcome when we arrived. it took longer than expected given the fact that few patrons were in the restaurant to get drinks...
Had a 6:15 reservation for dinner prior to an 8pm show at Minute Maid. Seated us at 6:20, then took almost 20 minutes after sitting for them to take drink order, then at least another 15 to bring 5 of them (the 6th didn’t show up until much later). Told them when drinks arrived we were ready to order, but server never came back, someone from our table had to go remind them. It was almost 7 by the time someone took our food order, which didn’t arrive until almost 7:30. We then had to basically eat at warp speed to try to get to stadium by 8. Thankfully the show was 30 minutes late starting. Food was OK but nothing special. Two of the six in our party were never brought water. Server was barel...
Our visit to the restaurant was plagued with several issues. The cocktails we wanted were not available, nor was the burger I desired or the salad I chose as an alternative. When we asked the waitress for a recommendation on wine, she brought back a glass but had to go back to find out what wine it was. To top it off, there was a fruit fly in the wine. The food took a while to come out, but when we inquired about it at the front, it suddenly appeared, making us wonder if it had been forgotten.

TL;DR Poor service and worse food. Skip the restaurant, check out the view on the 23rd and I recommend you find somewhere else to spend your evening. We came in with 9 people for dinner and had a pretty bad experience. The dining room was all but empty, the bar had a couple of people and there was a bartender and server for the hand full of customers. We didnt have a reservation but our group was very relaxed and just looking for a meal to celebrate a birthday. Service
My family and I went for lunch and enjoyed the time spent. Although we waited a while to receive our food, the ambiance made it enjoyable during the wait. The food was good, included the Cobb salad with shrimp and chicken, chicken sandwich, and some breakfast options.(side note: breakfast potatoes were delicious). Overall, nice spot.
Doors were locked when we arrived and I tried to call ahead to double check and could only find an invalid number with a random voice mail box so I left a message and didn’t receive even a call back.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights, ate here almost every meal. It was great! Then they have the rooftop bar for evening activities. We absolutely loved the whole experience! I would go back!
