We were a little apprehensive about Oscar's because of my limited French. However, Madame was patient with my efforts and we were able to communicate with gestures and limited words and phrases. Our first meal was really lovely and we were so impressed with it, we decided to come back a few days later. Our host recognized us and was very welcoming. Our second meal was certainly as good as our first, but the restaurant was a little more crowded on our second visit and the service dragged out a little more than we would have liked. We do highly recommend Oscar's as one of the best experiences we had in Antibes. Don't be afraid to go, but it might be helpful to learn a few phrases of French to help get things off to a good start. We chose to sit outside but regretted not going inside on our second visit. The interior is lovely and it is air conditioned (which we were unsure of based on our first visit).

We have eaten in Oscars many times in the past few years. It's always a fantastic experience. Wonderful food in a beautiful setting, the decor is a real treat, in the Greco-Roman style. My personal favourites on the menu are the monkfish in bisque sauce and the fillet steak. Delicious. Comprehensive wine list as well. The service is very attentive, professional and courteous. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars.

The restaurant is decorated in antique style, and in its menu there are dishes for every taste. Here they prepare traditional French cuisine, in which gourmets easily guess Provençal and Italian notes. In Oscar's you can even taste homemade pasta. Recommended dishes: ravioli with shrimps, small vegetable lasagna, red fish fillet with verbena and raspberry pie with pear jam.

This is a very quiet and formal restaurant that has a wonderful décor and excellent food with great service. The price is reasonable and is very nice for that special occasion or an evening out that you want to be extra nice. Madame was very proper but very nice and this restaurant was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be just as advertised.

A lovely restaurant with lovely food. Service can be a bit slow as there is only one person front of house, however, it is worth waiting for!

I have gone to Oscars on and off for ten years. We stopped going because we did not like the fact that the plates had become so burning hot that the food was still cooking on them when it arrived. On a cool Nove, ber evening we thought we would give it another try. Only one other couple in the restaurant. My prawn starter was very ordinary. My husband's starter of St. Jacques was pretty tasty. I ordered cod with asparagus and a truffle sauce. I got cod with a courgette spaghetti and some lobster bisque. Pretty tasteless and I am not a courgette fan. No mention from the serving staff that there was an alteration to the menu. Would not have ordered it if I thought it was served with courgettes. My partner had sea bass fillet which was nice but nothing special. The plates were scalding. Why? I then had nougat glace which was okay, my husband had the pastry dish which was tasty. I then ordered mint tea, so they served Earl Grey which I really do not like. No explanation, no apology, just something I did not order. Sorry Oscars, we have had some great meals over the years, but there is a lot of competition in Antibes and this was just not good enough. We will not be back.

The Madame here will divide opinion - but we loved her. She's the complete opposite of the pushy types who try to drag you into their restaurant, supremely confident that you should want to eat there and if you don't you;re missing out.Other people have said she will only speak which which is true (and fair enough - this is France after all!) - but she put up with my ham-fisted attempts to speak her language and helped us make decisions from the menu. The fish dishes were first-class as were the dessert, and the wine excellent and reasonably priced.Well worth a visit.
