They usually have offers in "lafourchette" that makes the prices much more attractive because the food is very good. Good selection of wines and the service is very good. The salads are my favorite dish because they are very large in quantity. Pizzas are very good too. On the other hand, the desserts are not the best.
I don't understand the great reviews that brought us to this place. We had pizza, gnocchi and pasta. The pizza was in a deep pan style, served in slices, ok but not great. The gnocchi was poor, chewy and likely from a packet and undercooked. The spaghetti bolognese was most strange, brown in colour like stewed mince, like cottage pie with spaghetti.On the plus side the waitress was lovely, as was the wine and beer, and the room nice.Overall it was the strangest not very Italian-like Italian food I've ever had.
Really good food but a little expensive. Also quite strange acousticts because it's an old wine cellar - but well lit so not gloomy. Had the camembert with truffles and potatoes inside which was totally divine! best camembert i've ever had! main dishes were good I had huge prawns and my boy friend a chicken wok. The prawns were great but the chicken wok was a bit bland, nothing special. But the service was lovely and it was a good soiree :)
If you don't want to have a really long dinner but instead an easy food, this is the place you are looking for. I strongly recommend at least one starter. Even the cheapest plate for antipasti is very rich. I notice that there are a lot of wine options you can try, but since we wanted to have light dinner we didn't order a bottle. I chose a salad for the main course and it was really delicious. The waitress was very kind and treated us well. Lastly, I definitely recommend their delicious coffee after the dinner.
In the heart of town, next to cinema and about 2 minutes from Place de Gaulle.It is not really a bar per se; only one small table with stools and although one could set at the counter (3-4 stools), one wouldn'tfeel comfortable here unless the tables were full, Friendly efficient staff who permitted us to change our table without fuss. Took the order quickly and service was timely. We opted for the "super" house wine which we would judge as just OK; recommend you choose by the glass or a good bottle instead, as there's a good selection at reasonable prices. Regrettably, these do not appear on any of the menus in or outside the restaurant, so do ask.The platter of cured hams and meat, and a litttle cheese, was outstanding: copious, very fresh, varied, thinly sliced a l'Italien and full of flavour; well worth the 22 Euros. There's also a smaller plattter for Eur 9 at another table that would be perfect for one. The place wasn't busy for a Friday evening but it was a very cold, windy night.Personally, I'd like the owners to render the interior a little cosier, by dimming or removing some of the overhead lighting.
The best asset of this place is the welcome of the lady / owner...she really takes good care of her customers...the foodis. Good without being excptional. I would define it easy food as it is made by mostly bread. Things (pizzas, focaccias, exc.). Nextdoor you find the cinema...if you are looking fir a quick stop, this is a good place.
