Long drive to find Beynac, and then a parking space! Short hike up the hill to find pleasant spot for lunch. We chose the omelette campagnarde with salad and frites. Pretty decent service considering how busy it was. Tasty and nicely presented. Good value. Friendly service.

Visited today and selected as it was close to the castle during the rain. Good choice, we had the omelette and it was great value. Good service and good range of food and drinks.

Sat outside on a lovely late September lunchtime. beautiful views of the castle. Omelettes were tasty and well presented but service was rather abrupt. Be careful that you get the drinks you order...we asked for draught Kronenburg but were served a more expensive draught. When challenged the waiter became very indignant.....however in the end we were only charged for what we'd ordered.

Between Le Donjon and La Taverne des Remparts, La Taverne has a better view of the Chateau. The food was acceptable, not inspiring, the service was distracted. The experience was not bad, but we decided not to return.

Having been disappointed with our reception at a restaurant lower down the hill, we arrived at this restaurant hungry and very thirsty (super hot day and exhausting climb)! and received a warm friendly welcome. We were served quickly and efficiently and were able to relax and enjoy our surroundings. The food was excellent and I think good value, as we expected to be overcharged by a restaurant that undoubtedly has the best position in regard to the Château. This was not the case and we had delicious food at a very reasonable price.

This is a restaurant very close to the castle's gate. Happily, the kitchen was still working although we came very late (according to French uses). We enjoyed several HUGE beef burgers and tartar, all of them were awesome. You may enjoy the terrace views to the chateau. The personnel was very kind. Chapeau!

A stone's throw from the chateau, it would be easy to think that it would take advantage of its captive audience. Not at all. Service was prompt and polite and the food was good; lots of local produce used which is always a bonus.

This restaurant is located with a beautiful view of the Beynac Castle, but at first glance appears that it may be one of those places that caters to tourists. While it does serve a good burger, our party found other items, including two pork entrees (hot and cold) to be very tasty. The prices are also quite affordable, especially dessert. Service was polite and fast.
