Foie gras - I ask if it was a pate - nope it's was cooked - it was in fact a pate. Below average as a pate. Serrano mozzarella and melons - ok - exactly what you order. So on average. Omelette - is exactly an omelette - and some salads. Disappointing creativity. Entrecôte a disaster - more fat and and far from tender. 1 point out of 5. Canard quite good - not bad 3,5 or of 5Tartar - a dry piece of hacked meat - a strange flowery taste. Awful - the worst I have eaten in many years. 0 out of 5.Wine was great a St.emilion Grand Crue. Price for eight 190 Euro - not bad - but not worth it. Not my recommendation - better of with sushi near the church.
After the game Bel-Irl we had to comfort friends from Ireland. This restaurant was an excellent choice. After grilled duck with mushrooms, a few bottles of excellent Medoc wines they have forgotten the bad match. The owner and staff were very pleasant. They make homemade bread and chocolate mousse at the end of the evening was fantastic. Warm recommendations
With no food at my hotel I found myself outside Le Family 10 minutes before they opened for dinner. Le Patron set me a table outside and brought me a small beer and some olives. My table was in a room with a TV (my choice) with some fellow travellers who also wanted to watch a game. Choice of set menu and a la carte. My melon and cold meats starter was followed by an excellent steak. Off the beaten track but well worth finding.
