we ate our meal in léopold. the service throughout our meal was nothing less than brilliant, our waiter was funny, attentive and helpful to help us choose from the menu. we sat without reservation and our waiter was happy for us to move tables after we had ordered drinks. we had a starter from sharing a charcuterie board, uttering and garneling, all delicious. for the net we had a steak, cut duck with mushrooms, steak tart and pan roasted duck fillet. everything our food was absolutely delicious. I was particularly impressed that our waiter realized that we share the steak tart and thus arranged for additional plates. the wee was great. overall it was a fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend!

we thought here was an evening drink before we went back to the hotel. sat outside as we wanted to watch people how the situation was great and very busy. service was great, ordered drinks that were cheap to euro per. drinks came...in good time and were super, very fresh and a good size. shown cover, as the evening was a little cool, which was a nice note!

the personal is very friendly and professional. the restaurant has a very good location and view over the small square. good desert and good choice of wine.

A cut above the average, with excellent service and a choice of two very good menu de jour plat options, I went for a faux fillet with an excellent onion and wine reduced sauce while my wife had the equally excellent fish option, the dessert...was just ok, if that had been better it would be up a little more in scoring. I cannot remember whether a carafe of wine was on the drinks menu, but ask and not a problem, (no half bottles). Crowded with a good mix of people. Price was good for the quality of the meal.

Even on a Sunday it turned out to be difficult to find a restaurant serving lunch after p.m. in Bordeaux. So, we gave up our search for a nice little bistro and were glad to find a table at Léopold on Cours de l’Intendance....It’s a big and rather ugly brasserie with a weird mirrored ceiling we found rather unpleasant. The bistro-type tables were very small, but were fortunately not too close to one another. We shared oysters of Poraillan and Madagascar prawns, followed by a good-size sole à la plancha served with some vegetables and what looking like burnt gratin dauphinois. With half a litre of Lugey Graves white wine our bill added up tot Not cheap, but the food was good and the wine was nice. Our waiter deserves a special mention. He was friendly and witty and well deserved his tip.
