We had an aperitif of ratafia, which I haven't had for years, at the bar, where we had a few canapés/amuses bouches, including a delicious aspargus cream with a lemon foam. The meal itself was very good, and good value; a 4 course menu at €65, and we able to swap pud for the excellent cheese trolley. Highlights were probably a salad of langoustines and orange, and pigeon. A decent bottle of burgundy for €50 ish was fair value (by French restaurant standards). The maitre d'hotel very decently warned us off the more expensive local red, Bouzy.Overall, not a sensational dinner, but a very enjoyable one. I think that the restaurant this place Hotel d'Angleterre) used ot have a Michelin star. I'm not sure that the current restaurant is going togetone at the moment, but it's probably better value for it, and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
