Had dinner with our family (2+3 little kids - 7 and twins 3 years old) on one of our evenings at the Dordogne region trip.We stayed near Limeuil and Le Bugue, so this restaurant was just at the perfect location, with lots of parking and tables to sit outside, viewing the grass on the river shore.Food was just great, many special fixed menus - especially for kids (excellent!), with many choices to serve anyone.Friendly and English-speaking staff dealt calmly and professionally with the many tables that served kids, and the noise and the bother didn't seem to get them off their cool and did serve all of our wishes and responded well and nicely to our questions for recommendations. All was very very tasty, and dinner was perfect.
We have never been disappointed by the Parc. They offer a 3 course lunch meal for 13.90 euros. The first course is a buffet which offers lots of choice. There is always a choice of 3 mains and dessert. The house wine can be purchased by carafe and again is reasonable.There is more choice when choosing a table. You can decide to eat inside or outside, in the sunshine or the shade. The exterior is particularly pleasant being situated by a lake.
Set beside a lake with many fish and pretty trees and lawns. A wonderful selection of starters, the main course in HUGE, but excellent all the same. The desserts are also excellent and I have never had cause to complain. My granddaughter had her wedding reception there last year and that says a lot as she is extremely fussy.One must try it.
After some time, we decided to return to an old favorite. (We are lucky to have so many great places to visit.)The Welcome even after so long, was great, welcomed by name. Excellent front of house.The Buffet starter was a good as usual and you could just eat that.We went for the menu of the day, Each course was served in a relaxed atmosphere and tasted great.We had a guest from the UK and he loved it all.We took a stroll around the CARP lake, which he also liked being a fisherman,
Lors de notre dernière visite dans la région en 2014, nous avons mangé ici deux fois, ce que j'ai déjà examiné. Donc, quand nous sommes revenus cette année, nous avions hâte d'y retourner. Eh bien, ils disent qu'il ne faut jamais y retourner et c'était très vrai dans ce cas. Notre grand serveur français blond était loin de notre hôtesse aux belles manières l’année dernière. Il était arrogant et dédaigneux envers moi et ma femme. Lorsqu'on lui a demandé une entrée, sa réponse a été c'est fini. Assez juste, alors elle a demandé un plat différent et a été accueillie par un geste de la main dédaigneux et un court "pffft! c'est fini aussi", sans tentative d'excuses. Nous avons finalement opté pour notre menu qui était convenable et sans plus, mais pour finir j'ai demandé un café. En buvant cela, j'ai senti quelque chose dans ma bouche et j'ai retiré ce qui ressemblait à un anneau en plastique du carton de lait. J'ai porté cela à l'attention de nos serveurs, après quoi il a semblé confus / ennuyé et m'a simplement enlevé le café et est revenu 5 minutes plus tard avec un nouveau. Encore une fois aucune excuse. Inutile de préciser que lorsque nous reviendrons dans le coin, nous ne dînerons pas au Parc.
Le cadre est idéal pour un repas d'été avec des enfants. La pizza est probablement votre meilleur choix car les tapas mixtes coûtent plus cher que la plupart des plats principaux et proviennent directement du sac de congélation, des rondelles d'oignon, des ailes de poulet et du croquet au fromage ! Restez à l’écart de cela et vous pourrez profiter de votre visite ?
